Here are Brocksbushes we are passionate about growing, producing and sourcing local produce. We are proud members of the Produced in Northumberland scheme, which means we have been accredited as a producer and distributor of produce made in the Northumberland and old Northumbrian areas.
You can buy the produce in our Farm Shop which is open all year round, or shop online for local delivery or collection.
We currently grow asparagus, strawberries, raspberries, blackcurrants, redcurrants, gooseberries & pumpkins here on the Farm. Find out more about Pick Your Own fruit.
Eggs & Dairy
We’re proud to use local, free range eggs across our operations; for sale in the Farm Shop, on your breakfast in the Tea Room and in our homemade produce from our Farm Kitchen. Our eggs come from Goodfellow’s of Matfen, Northumbrian Free Range Eggs & Lintz Hall Farm.
The same principle applies to our milk, which mainly comes from Acorn Dairies and we use Northumbrian Pedigree for the milk & cream in our Farm Kitchen.
Meat & Sausages
The Northumbrian Sausage Company holds their sausage making courses here at Brocksbushes, plus we stock their sausages in the Farm Shop, we use their sausages in our Tea Room and their sausagemeat to make our homemade sausage rolls!
We stock sausages made for Brocksbushes by Robson & Sons of Hexham, who also supply other meat such as bacon and steak mince to our Farm Kitchen for our pies.
Our pre-packaged meats come from mainly from Cranstons who are stalwarts of the North East & Cumbria butchery scene.
The majority of the cakes, scones, slices & desserts that we sell are made here in our very own Farm Kitchen, though we do also stock other local companies such as Beckleberry’s.
Our fresh bread is made to order by The Northumbrian Baker, who also supply buns and paninis to the Tea Room.
There are some fantastic local cheese producers in the North. We stock
Doddington Cheese (and their ice cream), Weardale Cheese and Northumbrian Cheese, alongside a selection from further afield.
The hardwood logs we sell are felled locally and chopped here on the farm, plus we stock coal and ovoids from Beattie & Sons and Heatmax Logs from Bedmax, which are efficient and sustainable, as well as local!
We’re passionate about local beer and currently stock four different breweries! Hexhamshire Brewery, Allendale Brewery, Muckle Brewing and The Twice Brewed Brew House all supply us with a fantastic range of beer & ale, including gluten free options.
Our list of local suppliers doesn’t stop there! Our shelves are bursting with tasty treats including, but not limited to, tortilla chips from Manomasa, Persian curry mixes from Mazzeh Spice, a great cuppa from Northumberland Tea, jar and comb honey from Northumberland Honey Company and Bees Knees, jams & chutneys from Blueberry Hill Preserves, Northumbrian Pantry & Tarset Valley Marmalade, sauces & accompaniments from Wiga Wagga and Calder’s Kitchen, soft drinks from Fentiman’s and artisan sweet treats from North Chocolate.
